Tech Hubs in Andhra Pradesh in a significant development for Andhra Pradesh’s burgeoning tech landscape, Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, and Vijayawada have secured positions on the list of 26 emerging technology hubs in India.
This revelation comes from a comprehensive report jointly prepared by Deloitte India and Nasscom, shedding light on the rising wave of technology hubs across the country.
Empowering the Startup Ecosystem:
Anil Kumar Tentu, the CEO of the Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society (APIS), enthusiastically shared insights into the state’s startup ecosystem. APIS is actively planning to establish a Center of Excellence dedicated to the Metaverse for startups.
Anil Kumar elaborated that Microsoft has entered into a collaboration with APIS, pledging to be a knowledge partner for this pivotal center. A delegation from Microsoft is scheduled to visit the region later this month. Their involvement includes designing the curriculum and generously providing key Metaverse modules to APIS, free of charge. This initiative is poised to be extended to select colleges in its initial phase.

A Thriving Partnership:
Moreover, APIS is actively pursuing a partnership with Google Startup School, an initiative already implemented in 14 different regions across the country.
Anil Kumar shared that the APIS is also vying for Google’s accelerator program. These endeavors are part of a broader strategy to expand APIS’s footprint beyond the three cities highlighted in the Nasscom and Deloitte report, reaching every corner of the state, including Kakinada.
Looking Ahead:
In their continuous efforts to empower the startup ecosystem, APIS is considering the establishment of a FabLab in collaboration with the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI). This FabLab is likely to be situated either in Tirupati or Vijayawada, further enhancing the state’s tech infrastructure and fostering innovation.
As these cities rise as tech hubs, it is clear that Andhra Pradesh is well on its way to becoming a prominent player in India’s tech revolution. With strategic partnerships and initiatives in place, the state is poised for a bright future in the world of technology and innovation.
