Tirupati authorities have introduced new guidelines for those embarking on the sacred trek to the renowned Tirumala temple. These guidelines encompass both safety provisions and specific timing regulations, with the primary focus on safeguarding the well-being of pilgrims, especially children.
The new guidelines have incorporated specific time slots to ensure the smooth flow of pilgrims, especially those accompanied by young children.
Parents with children below 12 years of age will be permitted to trek the footpath routes exclusively between the hours of 5 a.m. and 2 p.m. This dedicated time slot acknowledges the unique needs of families and provides them with a favorable environment for their journey.
Two-wheelers will now be allowed to ply on these roads strictly from 6 am to 6 pm, a measure aimed at minimizing congestion and ensuring the safety of all travelers.
the practice of allowing devotees to trek in groups only under the guidance of a security guard has been implemented. This measure not only fosters a sense of unity among the devotees but also guarantees that there is a trained professional present to respond swiftly to any unforeseen circumstances, ensuring that the pilgrimage experience remains smooth and secure.
Through these multi-faceted measures, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) underscores its unwavering commitment to the welfare of devotees, the preservation of the natural environment, and the overall enhancement of the pilgrimage experience.
These steps collectively reflect a holistic approach to safety and sustainability, ensuring that every devotee’s journey is both spiritually enriching and well-protected.
